Changes to legislation meant that people can now take money from their pension pots in a variety of ways. Unfortunately with choice came confusion, so this online tool helps customers work out how to cash in their pension savings and gives them a customised report showing their options.
Using a simple principle of ‘the bigger the dot, the more money it represents’ I devised a number of financial projections for customers which showed the variety of ways they could access their pension savings.
Based on the user inputs, a personalised report is made which shows a breakdown of the various ways to take your pension. The report also takes into account when the user can draw the state pension, other sources of income and their all important tax free cash lump sum.
In the world of financial services, there is a fine line between guidance and advice, companies are not allowed to freely give advice. We created a number of scenario and positioned them as fictional customer stories, this allowed us to show customers different ways to think about accessing their pension pots.
